very disappointed in this productgive it one star. VERY disappointed in this product and will never be buying it again I found it to be Gluggy and will not bring out a even lines when implying it inside you eyes . seem's very dried out and thick and flake's in chunks on the brush and noticed that it dose not stay on in parts . so not worth it's money and found that the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner's 001 Black, 5ml is a much better for a consistency for a fuller look except that the little implying brush that sits inside it broke off and was stuck inside the lid and could not get it out. with the amount of money one pays for make up these days that you would think you would get what packaging suggests. so not happy at all

Extremely disappointing.I have been using the Maybelline gel eye liner for years, but at over £7 it's not cheap. I was pleased to finally see another brand bring out a gel based eye liner as I much prefer it to liquid or pencil. I saw Rimmel's alternative for a couple pounds less in a shop one day so I decided to pick one up and give it a go.
As it was cheaper, I didn't expect it to match the quality of the Maybelline version, but I thought, being a simple, straightforward product, 'how much could go wrong?". It turns out - a lot.
Firstly, rather than running your brush through the eyeliner to gather a small, smooth amount, you end up with a mish mash of clumps on your brush, which you then have to smush against the side to regain the original shape of the brush designed to give you a slick line. You'll then probably find that when it comes to drawing the smooth, dark line you desire so much, you end up with a sort of grey, patchy, uneven line which you then have to try to fill in, usually in vain. (The only way you seem to be able to do this is by scraping out a big blob, which is extremely wasteful. It seems like once the gel is too condensed, it ceases to even come out on the skin.) This means it takes about twice as long just to apply some eyeliner...
Secondly, don't even bother trying to use it on your waterline, unless you want sporadic, black dots sitting on it, because you won't get a nice dark line. And if you do, don't expect it to be there after half an hour.
Thirdly, it says "smudgepfoof, waterproof" etc. It's lying.
I sometimes wear glasses, so not much comes into contact with my eyes, but it still somehow manages to rub off after a couple of hours. Not entirely. Just enough to look like it's make up you've been wearing for 14 hours with no top ups.
My advice: spend the extra £2 on the Maybelline one so you have a product that actually does what it's meant to.

Love it but what happened with the brush design!I am a goth and I love painting on a vintage black eyeliner style. This is the only eyeliner that has ever stayed on all day without running down my face specially when my eyes are running in bright sun. I love this product BUT what were you thinking when you added a brush without a lid or retractable end. Most girls want to carry makeup with us in a makeup bag with all our other stuff and that brush tip gets ruined. So I have put my brush in a slim study brush bag I got from another brand!.

Fab productI had been using a felt tip style eyeliner pen for a while and found they were really easy to use but very dry. This is just as easy to use but also creates a better line, creates the perfect flick and lasts all day without smudging!
