If you’ve always wanted to try out nail art but wrote it off as too difficult, then listen up: we’ve got a cute Christmas manicure that you can do fast. Really! Thanks to quick-drying formulas from Rimmel London, you can be perfectly polished for your next party and out the door faster than ever.
The trick to getting a manicure that dries quickly and lasts lies in great products and a patient but quick application. Here’s how to create the look yourself:
Create a standout base by applying a shimmering polish to your nails (we love the silvery colour of Rimmel London 60-Seconds Super Shine in Your Majesty). This will help your accent nail art stand out while still giving you a glittering Christmas-perfect look on your other nails, which you’ll paint later in a different colour. As with all nail art, you have to be patient and wait for your coats to dry – but not too long thanks to Rimmel London’s brilliant fast-drying formula.
Now, it’s time to add your accent. Paint the base of your accent nail in a dark colour – choose your ring, index or thumb, whichever you fancy. We love Rimmel London’s 60-Seconds Super Shine in Black Out. Let your accent nail (or nails) dry. Cut triangle-shaped tape pieces and gently apply them over your freshly painted (and dried) accent nail in a stand-out colour. The triangles will help easily create a pointed tree shape without you having to draw the design free-hand.
Once you’ve placed your tree on your accent nail with tape, apply a thin coat of Rimmel London 60-Seconds Super Shine in Your Majesty over the taped accent nail. Wait 60 seconds or longer for this coat to dry.
Repeat if necessary to make sure that you have a nice, opaque finish – thin coats are the key to fast-drying and smooth-textured manicures.
Gently remove each piece of tape individually for ultra smooth results – and reveal your Christmas tree. Cute, right? Add a thin coat of Rimmel London’s Super Gel Topcoat to give your fast-drying manicure a long-lasting gel finish.
Put this design on any finger you like – or all of them if you fancy. One thing’s for sure: this manicure will get all of the likes.
