The party season makeup look that works on every face

Christmas is here and party season has landed, which means it’s time to make the most of all those big nights out and adorn your face in festive shades of red and gold. Enter the perfect Christmas party makeup look to get you noticed – a gorgeous gilded eye paired with a bold red lip that flatters every skin tone.

Here’s how to create those gold lids…

1.     First, grab the Magnif’Eyes Eye Contouring Palette in Keep Calm and Wear Gold, £7.99, which is packed with shimmer and matte shadows in party-perfect golds and chocolate browns.

2.     Working from left to right of the palette and using a domed shadow brush, sweep one of the first two lighter matte shades across your eyelid, and blend right up to your brow bone.

3.     Then, load up your brush with the fourth shade, which is gold, and blend it all over your lid. Take it to just above the crease, all the way to the inner corner of your eye, and beneath your lower lash line.

4.     After that, apply the fifth shade, which is a deep bronze, to the outer corner of your lids and under the outer corner of your lashline for definition. Blend, blend, blend all the shades together for a seamless smokey wash.

If you want a higher-impact finish, switch up the application slightly by applying the seventh or eighth shade in the crease of your eye for deeper definition. Finish off the look with a sweep of Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara, £6.99, for full, luscious lashes.

Next, it’s time to party up that pout, and this Christmas it’s all about the full, red lip. Once you’ve picked your shade, you can mix up your finish depending on your mood.

Feeling like a bold matte? Choose The Only 1 Matte in Take the Stage, £4.99. Want something sumptuous and satiny? The Only 1 Lipstick in Revolution Red, £4.99, is the dream. And if you’re in the mood for a luscious, glossy lip, top off your lipstick with Oh My Gloss! in Crystal Clear, £5.49.

And you’re set… Now just pick your Christmas party and go.
