The Halloween looks you can do with just eyeliner

If you’re all about effortless makeup this Halloween, we’ve got the perfect spooky looks for you, and they require little more than your favourite eyeliner. Choose from the feline face, or the cobweb lids, and you’ve got some great go-to options for when your costume is an all-black outfit and maybe some cat ears.

Here’s how to get the looks...

Popping pop art

The Halloween looks you can do with just eyeliner

You’ll need three shades of Colour Precise Eyeliner, £5.99, for this look – White, Black and Blue – plus a swipe of red lipstick. It’s not quite liner-only, but it’s close enough! Begin by applying the red to your pout then, using the White eyeliner, draw dots all over your face and finish with a couple on your top lip.

With the Black, draw a line beneath your cheekbones, around the edge of your lips, across your chin and jaw, down your nose, and through your brows to create cartoonish definition. Finally, create tears below one eye with the Blue liquid liner. And, there you have it – a cartoon-inspired face that’s insanely easy to do.

Cobweb lids

Fact: if you’ve nailed some appropriately frightening eyeliner, no one will notice that that’s the full extent of your costume. For this, use a kohl pencil like Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal, £3.99, and start drawing a spider’s web on your upper eyelids, or extending from your lower lash line.

To prevent smudging, prep skin first with Lasting Finish Primer, £6.99, for a velvety canvas, and coat your lashes in Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara, £6.99, to up the eye-catching ante.

Feline face

Working with a black liquid liner like Colour Precise Eyeliner, £5.99, it’s easy to create a flawless feline face. Start with some flicks along your upper lash line, add plenty of Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara, £6.99, then use the fine nib of the liner to draw on whiskers and a nose. You’ll be done in seconds.
